I think this is cheating =D

I have a little problem about the method used by one istal member to get points. Take a look at this and you tell me

All those 111 reviews are copied from IMDb, or how about this one, watched 8764 movies, 3019 tv, read 1405 books, played 371 games, age ? 20 years.

so this might sound stupid, but what exactly do the points mean on listal? i've been meaning to ask.

Basicly It´s supposed to represent the contribution that the user make to the community. Obviously, that contribution should be real and nobody should cheat like this. I's a bit stupid, but it goes against the intention of the site

Are we sure it isn't his account from IMDb? We had a member a few years ago who copied reviews from IGN and Gamespot and tried to pass them off as his own, then he tried to pretend they were his originally. No dice.

Apart from special features on a DVD, I can't really see the point in a separate review section for DVDs. Especially when it is abused like this.

No, checking Imdb reviews I saw these reviews were written by different users. So, he is just stealing them. the panic room vreview was written by an user called timothygruich, the pearl harbor review was by a completely different user

Unfortunately there are no proofs for those rating spammers. Listal is full of them, especially those who rate unreleased movies, maybe this fact could be considered as a proof..

I know this guy just rate items to get the three points. He did the same in one of my lists of argentine artists. My biggest problem is with the stolen reviews.
I don't know, maybe he has low self esteem and want to reach a high ranking on listal to feel better.

MMORPG ers have found a better use for their time.

I have noticed Rufus reviews. It is kind of lame but it is a consequence of the biggest quality of Listal. In Listal, you can do whatever you want and some of user abuse it. Hell, I'm pretty sure if you check some of my reviews, you'll be shocked but I think I have improved lately.

It is like, currently Listal is ruled by a bunch of guys who post 1000 and 1000 of naked pictures and the same guys voting on those pics. Is Listal supposed to work that way ? No. Do I care ? No. The best thing is to focus on your own stuff and don't spend too much time on those issues. I did once spent a week trying to prove that a user was boosting his votes with some fake accounts. and it goes on and on and on.... Reviews containing less than 10 words but still managing to get at least 2 votes. Thanks to this, propelas is one of the "Top reviewers" in Listal!

I did once spent a week trying to prove that a user was boosting his votes with some fake accounts. After some research, it seems that I was right and it was supposed to be fixed. What happened then? One of his lists is right now on the front page with 174 votes...

I did my part, johan. And you'll notice I never voted on the list myself in defiance of this injustice!

I don't mind people having an overwhelming interest in certain kinds of quality lists while others are less (though still to a fair extent) noticed. Eventually the lists that involved effort in creating get noticed, and I assure you you're not going to see many lists without so much as a description or note edit make it past twenty votes. I am thoroughly against cheating as in the above case though.

@Pumpkinate, I know you did your best and I don't blame you, buddy! It is not a big deal and indeed, eventually, only the best lists get the attention they deserve.

i didn't have create fake accounts.The one guy who vote some of this reviews is matteus from brazil and the others is ebraios,my friend from Greece,which i notice that he has vote some of your lists.If you say that i don't deserve the votes of my reviews you can read some of this in my front page.Please do it and tell me your opinion.I don't want your vote just your opinion.
