Like other users I was excited about the new Listal "reloaded".
But then, after trying it out for a while, I must say I am not fully convinced of the new course.
Maybe it's just me: I found out that I am not terribly interested in the new Categories after all (with the possible exception of Characters), while I mostly keep using the traditional ones. So, I am not saying the new stuff is bad. I am just saying that it's not what I am going to use the most.
Besides, while I like some of the new features, I feel they brought some confusion into the database, more duplicates, and so on.
On the other hand, I still miss some other features I feel would make Listal more usable, and I am still waiting for the promised Listal app for smartphones (or, maybe, a dedicated mobile version of the web site).
I would be ready to pay for the app and/or a premium account with no ads.

10 years, 2 months ago at Feb 20 12:51 - I believe most of the server problems and image problems are now fixed, most of these were not related to changes with the new site.
The new Listal is a lot more that the new categories, a lot of the code for this site has been written over the last 7 years and needed re-writing to make it easier to maintain and add new features in the future. A lot of work has been done to simplify both the code and user experience, although more still needs to be done.
I knew a lot of people wouldn't be interested in the new categories which is why I added the category section option, I believe having the ability to create lists for virtually any topic is a great addition, more will be done to link the different categories together, e.g. places can be linked to movies

10 years, 2 months ago at Feb 20 20:08 - I agree about the nationality, age and gender - it gave a nice little snapshot of who the person was, now unless you remember them from the old Listal, you don't know who you are talking too, which I would think is a disadvantage to people just joining Listal.
