Suggestion: Tooltips over the rating stars

I think the users of listal have all a very different meanings about the single steps in the rating scale. Perhaps tooltips with more concrete hints could be helpfull.

For myself i use the following:

10 stars - ein Klassiker (classic)
09 stars - hervorragend (outstanding)
08 stars - stark (awesome)
07 stars - gut (good)
06 stars - okay
05 stars - durchschnittlich (averagely)
04 stars - lau (lukewarm)
03 stars - enttauschend (disappointing)
02 stars - mies (lousy)
01 star - katastrophal (catastrophic)

If you want to seriously sort out the averages, then it needs doing like Criticker - www.criticker.com/?te (Several pages there to read). I actually rate my stuff on there before I do on here, and use their adjusted out of 10 rating for this. Basically means that stuff that I don't like gets a bad rating whether I use the range 1-10 or 0-100.

For example, my ratings:

10 star: 89-96
9 star: 85-88
8 star: 80-84
7 star: 75-79
6 star: 71-74
5 star: 67-70
4 star: 61-66
3 star: 57-60
2 star: 35-56
1 star: 13-34

In all honesty, it's probably too complex a system to sensibly implement here, but on a personal note would work nicely for me and my music collection - I've probably got about 3 times as much rated as 7 stars (my rating for stuff I like but not massively) as anything else, simply because I can't fine tune the marks more.

I think this is more of a personal choice, making it compulsory may just put people off rating altogether. I just rate whatever I feel the film is for me, and I'll change it every now and then if my opinion changes, and thats good enough for me. :P
