Suggestion: Select All

A select all option would be really useful for when I'm building lists from my collections. It gets really tedious having so many boxes just to perform an action with them.

um, i've made more than my fair share of lists, and I can honestly say I've never needed to select ALL when making a list. Can you post an example of when this may be needed?

I guess a list of pokemon films? Otherwise, I'm struggling too.

I even did The Sims and those didnt warrant a select all. I guess it depends how you build a list. I like to pick things in order, in small increments, and then re-arrange them, before going back to search mode and picking a few more.

What I could use more is a way to select multiple items from a list, and build another list using those items. Example, I made IMDB Top250 list, and then the AFI's Top 100 movies of all time list. With so many similar entries, it would've been quicker to select them all and build second list right away, rather than re-searching all the names once more. But even that, its kinda a once-in-a-blue-moon scenario.

I did feel a select all might be handy if you were listing specific genres, or if you were listing an artists films which you enjoyed and you merely liked the whole first page. You can rearrange it afterwards. I thought this thread was going to be for groups, as i hate having to re click all the boxes to view all the groups again after viewing just 1 or 2 hehe, but thats just laziness on my part.
A select all function wouldn't hurt, it just wouldn't make such a huge difference it should be put high in the pile etc, its definitely a back burner function.

I'm all for a select all option!

When I was making a fantasy list in books that would have come in handy because I selected the tag first so they all came up (same with the kids books and a few others). Sometimes that can amount to a lot of clicking without a select all option. Actually come to think of it I can think of quite a few times when I would've been able to use a select all option so I don't think it be used rarely.

Sorry I haven't replied to anyone here. I got so busy in rl that I forgot I posted this!

It's basically like Midnight said. I like to work from my tags when I'm making a specific list and a select all would make it so much easier. Even if I had to unclick somethings it would still be less clicking all around.
