Suggestion: Personal notes on items

Must've been suggested before, but can't find it. I'm not talking about tags here, but short "unique" comments that you could add to your items that wouldn't show up on the tag cloud, and were only visible while viewing someone's collection. So for example, you could write "best movie ever!!!" or "fell asleep while watching this" which might reduce the number of one sentence reviews, as well as some of the less universal tags. Good way to colour up the collection pages with personal remarks also.

The reason why I personally want this, is because 2/3 of my movies are on VHS (some 3-5 movies per tape), and I've been thinking of a way to use Listal tags to tell me which movie is on which tape. With the current tags I could maybe deal my collection to a few segments (tags 1-5 for example), but with unique personal comments I could pinpoint the exact tape (without messing up my tag cloud), "TAPE 149" for example.

I see what you are getting at and I think it'd be lovely but for now all we can probably do is make private lists of said items. I believe we can also edit personal info on each item but it's only for that one item and you can't compare it or anything with any other items. This is a lovely suggestion (like all the others). But we can only wait and see if even a percent of our suggestions carry on into implementation.

So we do have private notes for each item. Awesome! I never noticed this before. Thanks.

Anyway, I still think short comments that could be viewed while browsing someone's collection would be nice too.

A few short comments could be mildly useful. Like a divulgence of obscure trivia regarding the item. This could prove to be helpful rather than just a way of redirecting things not wanted elsewhere.
