Suggestion: Multimedia Lists

I was wondering if there was anyway to add a way to make multimedia lists. For instance if I wanted to make a list of all my Stars Wars items I could have not just dvds on the list but books and cds as well. Or if I wanted to make a list of concert dvds I could have both the ones that fall under the dvd listing and the ones that fall under the cd listing in one list.

Is this a viable idea do you think?

It would be nice to have but would make things more complex and due to other technical reasons I don't think it's worth implementing.
