suggestion: login/register screen for groups

When I try to post a new thread or reply to an existing thread without being logged in I get just a blank screen. (This happens in Firefox, IE, and Opera, so it's not just a browser redirect bug.)

It would be far less confusing for new users and far more convenient for existing ones we were directed to a login / registration page instead.
