Suggestion: List Cross-Over?

Would it be possible to have lists that feature not just the same items but different items as well? Like having a list that contains movies AND tv-shows AND games AND music or something like that? Using Naruto as an example there can be a super list that not only has all the Naruto movies, but also the various tv-shows and specials and even the video games and related soundtracks. My interest in this suggestion stems mainly from the slight annoyance I can't put made for tv movies in the same lists as movies movies.

Sorry if that made no sense whatsoever. Maybe it's just me that thinks this would be a useful thing.

I get what you mean, it sounds like a good idea too! For example you could make a list of things to do with Final Fantasy and include all the films in it too. Steven King, with all his books and films, and tv series'.
It makes sense that you could be able to combine different forms of media on your lists for whatever reason, you could have "My Top 10 List" that can include anything and everything!

Makes great sense. Right now though you can use links to other lists. In Steven King Books "SEE ALSO: Steven King Films". The addition i'm plugging for is a way to see similar lists based on content, instead of similar lists based on title. This way it'd be easy to find lists that have similar interests, also find out if someone has already done the list you're working on, like a series list.

i'd love to see if you're search for something, say Donkey Kong, Listal would search thru all public custom lists and show results for any that have Donkey Kong in its title.

Its done right now if you happen to type a word that is also a tag, or if you type in an actor or director name. So basically, apply same effect to lists.

And a separate section just for list, to show most viewed lists, most voted lists, and fresh new lists to explore, that would be awesome too.

but I dont really see how this original suggestion about list cross-over can be implemented. I mean, movie lists show IMDB info and year of release, while game lists show platform name. How could Tom mix 'n' match them?

For now, I think the 'SEE ALSO: Stephen King Movies, Stephen King games, Stephen King Books' might make most sense.

If anyone makes Final Fantasy movie list, or even book list, let me know and I'll add links to them in my Final Fantasy game list that gets tons of views.

Love the idea of cross-listing as well.... just being able to incorporate all spin-offs across domains.

movie lists show IMDB info and year of release, while game lists show platform name. How could Tom mix 'n' match them?

That's exactly it, just put the appropriate info to the appropriate item in the list. It shouldn't involve more coding if items are able to be added across categories anyways.

Oh lovely to know I made sense to people other than myself.

Right now though you can use links to other lists.
Ohh. I didn't know you can do that...
But still I'd like to have on Universal list and not multiple lists.

Maybe I'm just not a computer person, but I'm sure there are ways to accommodate it. Different columns for different mediums? Or like Voxy suggested: adding the necessary information to the item in question.
