Suggestion: Bookmark/Favourite other users lists

an 'Explore Lists' is planned for the site, according to Tom. And I like the suggestion to bookmark lists. Currently, it relies on outside bookmarking, which is good in getting Listal's name out, but it would also be good to bookmark it internally.

I'd even like it to bookmark my own 'favorite' lists, because I have so many it gets hard to go thru them.

Here's a page I'm working on, it's not finished yet though :

The bookmarking can be done based on votes (e.g. a vote is a bookmark), seems to be over complicated to add another function.

If favoriting users based on content were put into play, this could be apart of the system in which Tom plans to have Top # Reviewer and such other forms of recognition. Right now you basically have to friend someone or bookmark their page to keep up with their work.

I'm thinking of adding a system where you can follow or subscribe to someone, if they follow you back you become friends. Or another way of putting is that you can be friends with someone or mutual friends where they have added you back.

Tom, can you make an area on that page for certain dynamic lists, for example my lists about new games, or once someone setups a list of upcoming movies, or 'now playing in theatres', or 'coming soon to DVD', or 'new book releases', etc...

I think lists like that should be (a) setup so multiple people can edit it to keep them fresh and up-to-date, and (b) be very visible, so people can explore what's new really quickly. Pretty much every other media listing and rating site has a 'what's new' section.

Also, a 'Most viewed' list, would it give different results than 'most voted'?

I would actually like to include these as part of the main movies section (permanent link on the sidebar), top movies by box office takings is a big omission at this site.

That lists page is a really good idea, Tom. Is there anyway we can access it normally? Maybe a link should get included in the 'explore' drop down menu?

When it's finished, at the moment it doesn't update automatically.

I've now added it to the menu, will be adding a way to browse other lists soon. Added lists and reviews to the my stuff menu as well.
