I just registered yesterday when looking for a online database in order to catalog my 4000+ title LP/cd collection. I like the look and feel of the site so far but I've only submitted one album so far!
The amazon searches continue to come up short for me and I really wonder why. When doing a search for keyboard wizard George Duke, I get three full pages of various compilations but practically no original studio albums. The same goes for George Benson and a handful of other artists I've tried so far.
I find this very odd since practically all albums show up when doing the exact same searches on amazon's own site. Is Listal using a limited version of Amazon or is this just a bug?
I really hope anyone can come up with a solution to this problem. As it is now, Listal is sadly rather unable to fulfill my needs.

Listal isn't a part of Amazon, it just uses Amazon's database of items and uses it's own search engine.
The only way I see for you to add your albums is to just add them manually for now until Tom figures out a fix.

17 years, 5 months ago at Dec 7 9:32 - You just need to click the 'Find music by George Benson ?' link at the top, this will switch the search to find music by George Benson instead of that name appearing in the title.
I will see if I can make this clearer or maybe make the artist search the default.

17 years, 5 months ago at Dec 9 7:16 - Still some minor issues here...in some cases the "Find music by..." link doesn't appear but only a title search is available. I tried submitting searches on both Will Downing and Peabo Bryson but neither had the above mentioned option.
A separate artist search would definetely come in handy ;-)
