What sport would you want to be a superstar in?

I would pick basketball. But I would play in Europe, not the US.
SnappySneezer 17 years, 4 months ago at Dec 26 2:57 -
Either Bounceball or Hocker. Oh what was that sport where you toss a ring of rope over a volleyball net?

Futbol. Definitely futbol. Or curling. Curling sounds fun.

I was going to say soccer, but I'll retract the thought and go with futbol. Or some type of feral fighting. I saw a picture of some guy's leg getting bitten off by a leopard this morning. It sort of enticed me. Made me wish I could've been there, on all fours, face to face with the animal. Of course I'd most likely get eaten. But I can dream the life of a Romantic. :(

EDIT: Tree climbing. Screw the other two. Tree climbing.

Bull fighting sounds lovely. If only the bull had as much as a fair chance as the human guy. Hm...

This really feels like it ought to be in random chat...

What do you do with bull fighting again? Put up a red flag, or something? I don't know. I might stay home from school one of these days and attempt to reach the top of a tree. Funny how much more knowledge your mind is instilled with from such a view. If only it wasn't an industrialized neighborhood, where no one tackles leopards or climbs trees, and very few play futbol, and only the Americanization of it. The perspective's still amusing, I suppose.

I concur that this would best have been posted in the random discourse section. I suppose I try to take a sad thread and make it better.

Well, it's not that sad anymore.

I honestly have no idea what they do in bull fighting. I think red flags might be involved.

I wonder what a leopard would be doing in an industrialized neighborhood anyhow.

The question I'm asking is what is an industrialized neighborhood doing on the leopard's turf? The leopard just wants to walk a bit, secure a fast meal, and doze off to the reggae beat of the jungle. And what happens? It finds itself on land that apparently is the possession of upright two-legged creatures, despite the law of nature that says your land is my land. I think I'm leaving society today. Or maybe I'll stay just to shatter it from the underground up.

This is exceedingly getting off topic in a thread that's in a wrong spot but anyways...

That's a fine and dandy idea but when shattering things from the ground up don't try to be like this guy
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_%28comics%29

and fail utterly so you'll end up like this guy (who had totally different motivations and all but eh...)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yukio_Mishima#Ritual_suicide

And do not fear for the poor leopard because I'm sure one day in the future they'll take over the world and we'll be the ones in the metal cages. It'll be like Planet of the Apes. Only Planet of the Leopards.

Not to mention Guy Fawkes was hanged. But the leopard got food. Man can't control animalia. It's just that man has digressed from that pure state of mind. But I still say futbol. Which I'm sure is the football of the rest of the world, outside of this bubble.

Bounceball. Hocker. Futbol.

Uhh.. I don't get it :S what's with all the miss-spelling? What about an extreme Spelling Contest? I bet the people here would be great at that!

I'm just spelling it the way it's been spelled. Hocker, that's a good one. I'll edit the posts.

EDIT: Actually, Claudia, it seems we're right on the spelling. I thought you'd be more aware of that in Australia. I'm only comparing football and futbol in terms of popularity.
SnappySneezer 17 years, 4 months ago at Jan 1 18:22 -
I listed three sports I played in Junior High. Hocker was kind of like Soccer and Hockey I guess but with a bigger ball. Bounceball was like Volleyball except the net was lowered to the ground and the ball had to bounce on the ground before you could return it. The other game I mentioned pretty much was volleyball with a rope circle instead of a ball. I do not know the name of that one.
Xeil 17 years, 4 months ago at Jan 1 18:35 -

People make up their own names sometimes. Last year in athletics sometimes the coaches let us play 'boomer'ball, which in this setting is just kickball with significantly less rules. Some people sat down, some people climbed the bleachers in the middle of third and home. Some people kicked the ball into the air and caught it as it came back down. Others knocked out the lights, which was an instant strike out.

No, no no. Apparently in most countries they call soccer, futbol. Football is an ENTIRELY different matter. Usually to differentiate it from the other sport you have to add football americano or something like that.

And why are all you guys hating on football (americano)?
It's really not that bad. I tend to have a low opinion of all sports to begin with but after watching high school football for three years and reading a football (americano) related manga I have seen the light.
All sports require certain mastery and such mastery itself it's art.

chibiyusa, do you live in the football nation? I didn't think so. You can't walk out on the street and question King George's authority without getting tackled or otherwise banged, bopped and boomed with some sort of oval-shaped leather ball.

Oh, crap. I forgot, you do live in the football nation. But you're probably not as far inside the bubble as my proximity. I have a hookbill bite on my hand and an odd configuration coupled with pieces of leather where one of my eyes should be.
