Spoiler and private tags

How about adapting the tagging system so that people who have not seen/read an item don't have the plot spoiled? There are two main ways of going about this really.

1. Keeping all tags hidden from the main view unless selected, like IMDB's use of rollover.
2. Having people tag things in two categories: general and spoiler. The problem with this though is that you would have to find a way to sort all the tags that have already been made. Not optimum.

Also, is there anything in the works for private tags? I haven't really been keeping up with whats happening over on the beta site, but to have private tags would be a great help for people keeping track of where items are in their house, if they saw a film at the cinema, who they got an item from, and such. The only problem with this again is the moderation of them as people could make unseen tags for points. Although, maybe "private" tags would be visible when an item was viewed through the user's collection? Whats the opinion on this from everyone else?

I think the best solution would be marking certain tags safe and automatically hiding other ones which could be revealed with a rollover or pressing a button.

or what about just simply wrong tags? Like all the people that tagged '21 Grams' with 'drugs' when it has absolutely nothing to do with drugs. lol

21 Grams refers to the weight of a soul, not the weight of cocaine.

Well the film does seems to have some drug related parts in it (I've never seen it though)

From wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/21_Grams 'Cristina is devastated by the loss and turns to the drugs (2CB & ketamine) along with alcohol to ease her pain'

I guess moderators could be given the option to remove very wrong tags but in general the system is set up to let the crowd classify the movies and bad tags will generally sink to the bottom.
