Jessica 18 years ago at Apr 27 13:44 -
why babyish?
john 18 years ago at Apr 27 13:47 -
i dunno lol
Sarosh© 18 years ago at Apr 27 13:47 -
haha! whats babyish?
john 18 years ago at Apr 27 13:48 -
its more for little kids though
Jessica 18 years ago at Apr 27 13:49 -
babyish means acting like a baby, or to be like a baby.

don't see how Spiderman 3 is for little kids OR babyish.
I wouldn't let my daughter watch the movies until she is much older.

Sarosh© 18 years ago at Apr 27 13:49 -
Spiderman 3 is going to be good, waiting for it to release eagerly..
Sarosh© 18 years ago at Apr 27 13:50 -
Can babies understand what spiderman is doing in the movie?? :P
Jessica 18 years ago at Apr 27 13:52 -
no...which is why I don't understand someone calling it babyish, or saying it is for little kids.

that's stupid.
john 18 years ago at Apr 27 13:54 -
well isnt it made 2 aim at little kids 2 watch it
Sarosh© 18 years ago at Apr 27 14:02 -
No offence, but the ratings nowadays arent to honest with us, even movies like batman or superman which once used to be on pages arent worth seeing with kids.
Reason: Explicit content, which is neccessarily provided in all movies, i mean there isnt any movie which doesnt contain such stuff.
Secondly, the kids themselves wouldnt understand whats going on in the movie!
So i dont think we can call these as 'Babyish' ones.

Um...no...if it was, don't you think it would be animated, with less violence, and catering more to children with the dialogue?

I wouldn't let my child see these movies. She doesn't need to be exposed to that kind of content for a long time to come.

That's true you should'nt Jessica. Infact no parent should, thinking its babyish movie.
Parents should view the movie themselves first, and then if they feel its appropriate, take their children as well.
Jessica 18 years ago at Apr 27 14:24 -
I already know without seeing it that my daughter isn't going to be seeing the movie anytime soon.

She loves Spider-man, but has not been anywhere near any of the movies.
Sarosh© 18 years ago at Apr 27 14:29 -
That is exactly how it should be :) When i was a kid..ofcourse at the age below 17- 18 i wasnt allowed either to watch movies, my brother's used to watch it first, and if it was ok for me to watch, they allowed me to laters.

Actually, he is right. It is aimed somewhat at young kids. Not toddlers, but at least grade school kids. I mean, aren't they already advertising with McDonalds or some other fast food chain? And go to Walmart and see how many spider-man things are available for kids aged 7 to 15. TONS! :) I'm not agreeing with it, and I certainly wouldn't take a kid to see it, but does seem to be targeted at them.

The Spidey series is definitely more kid-friendly series than the new Batman. I read that some parents took their kids to see that one, thinking its a superhero action film, but the horror elements in it gave their kids nightmares.
Jessica 18 years ago at Apr 27 14:47 -
toys are one thing. seeing the movie is another. I wouldn't go see it with my child, or bring it home to watch with her, whether she was 3, 5, 7...maybe 10, but that's the youngest.
DefenderOfKnowledge 18 years ago at Apr 27 20:02 -
Yeah, I mean sure, it expands to the younger gradeschool people, but it is NOT limited to it. I mean the action and romance and such.

The batman was extremely dark and such. Much more broody and almost morbid.

I don't think the 2 spidermans so far were that bad in case of kids. There weren't any sexually suggestive scenes, not extreme violence, both were pretty good. The third one is the same case. Should be good for the whole family (almost). I DEFINATELY do not think it will be babyish at all. I think one of the main fan bases is the adults who grew up reading the Spiderman comic.

I hope a group of my friends plans to go to the midnight showing......

I've got like 4 songs I could blast on speakers about spiderman.

Midnight showings are so fun. That gives me an idea.
Sarosh© 18 years ago at Apr 27 21:34 -
I never witnessed midnight shows, because the last show here in cinema's are at 9 or 10. :(
Sadly an average movie ends up till 12 or somtimes 1.

What's the idea? And yes, midnight showings are fun. The crowd around you is great fun. I know I went to midnight showings for Stars Wars I and II.....for I, we were there for SO long before the movie began, but by the time we could get inside, it was almost a full-blown party outside, what with the Coca-Cola reps and the local radio station there!

I went to Star Wars 2 and 3.....3 wasn't as fun.

Oh! This was awesome! I went to the midnight showing of Pirates 2 and dressed as a Jedi!

I was going to make a topic about Midnight showings, but I forgot.
