Spamming?

So, please, as to not walkabout down the wrong path, what defines "spamming?" I"ve seen a few forums where people were accused of it and I"m not sure what it means?

Spamming usually applies to the posting of too many candid or red carpet photos. The thing about those types of outings is that many pictures look extremely similar because paparazzi are snapping pictures very quickly. So they might be standing in the same pose but the head is slightly turned. We allow these types of things to be reported as duplicates.
Every moderator is different, but we generally say about 10 red carpet photos and 5 candid shots. Note that this is not a strict, set rule. Just a vague guideline. It's possible to have more than 10 or 5 that are different and interesting. But the general consensus is that people don't need to see 30 photos of some chick walking through a parking lot or similar. Also, we often have the issue where multiple people will each post tons of photos of the same event or outing, and it tends to get overboard.

I agree with everything Maggie has said.
I'm also specifically concerned with if a celeb wants the pics taken and is looking at the camera. I do not particularly like seeing pics where the person is obviously not wanting to be bothered by camera-men. I think these should be kept to a minimum as well.
Please do not upload more pictures if someone has already posted HQ (high quality) images from an event. If you feel yours are better quality for whatever reason then by all means report the others as duplicates and post your own. Then it will be up to the mods to decide which images are kept.
We're hoping to cut down on paparazzi pics overall and are hoping to get some help deleting the image spamming that has occurred for the last months/years. Any reporting will be helpful.

Spamming can also mean carelessly reposting images without checking the gallery first or posting images en masse that violate the rules.
