Maybe he is seriously in love with me, but I doubt it.
Hello,
From viewing your profile, I strongly believe that you 're my main reason of visiting this site. I visited this site in the first place and I'm quite sure we can make a very good relationship that will make you feel complacent. So you can get the real me at jameswtme@yahoo.com or add me up write me and I'll tell you how I intend to do this, as well viewing my pix.
In brief, I'm a young Nigerian based in Nigeria at the moment. I incorporate discipline, honest, God fearing and hardworking. I donโt drink or smoke. I am a Christian and I attend church twice a week. I also like going on tour.
....
Maybe he is seriously in love with me, but I doubt it.

Ok I've deleted all these accounts but I'm wondering what is the ultimate purpose of these messages? On their own they are pretty innocent.

Who knows? Problem is the first message is just the bait that leads to requests for money, bank details, etc. I think others just do it to be annoying. ยฌ_ยฌ

I think they're just checking to see who can be taregeted for more sophisticated scams. Rather than send out 1 million emails randomly, they'll have a database of a few thousand that passed the first test o' gullibility. :)

Wow.....
I don't really know what to say that will trip you which no body has not told you before...
I was capture by your beauty as i was searching whom to call my girl...
I know you really know how beautiful you look and how attractive you are...
If knowing you should be the last breath of air in my life i woun'tmind to give up..
I really admire you, adore you, appreciate you, ... what a wonderful and pretty woman are you..
Well i really can't say all i have for you now and here so i preffer you email me at raymond_scott02@hotmail.com... i think i have a lot to tell you over there
please iwait to hear from you and i will like you too give me your yahoo id or msn okay
thanks

Same personal message to me too. Guessing they'll hope that they'll get the (hot, fresh) email address from any response, then make money from selling 'live' addresses?
Or, possibly, that they're a person who is sexually excited by messages from women they don't know, telling them to **** off :) Is there such a thing as spamophilia?

Yes, but they're effectively 'bait', hoping to draw the unwitting into a scam in which they could lose an awful lot of money. Hence it's a fairly standard type of message, and sent out so indiscriminately (to ensure the law of averages works in their favour). I've followed one through once; I had a great laugh, and even manage to wring some money out of the scammer.

Seriously? Lucky.
I got a message from someone, but I'm not quite sure if it was a spammer or not. It's ok.

Oh yes. It was a fairly standard scam, and went like this:
The scammer sent an email, stating he had an account belonging to a deceased relative, which had been left to him, but he couldn't access it because he couldn't afford to pay the account fees. The account was to a value of a good few million dollars, but the fees were proportionately steep, totalling several thousand. He claimed not to be able to afford these fees, and was offering %40 of the account value if I could pay the account fees. The idea is that, although several thousand is a large sum, the share in the account would leave the person a multi-millionaire. But, if you don't let yourself be blinded by greed, and do as I did, you send a sympathetic message in return, saying that you have more than enough money, and that you're willing and able to help him out. However, to withdraw such a large sum from your own account, you also need to pay a fee (nothing extravagant; say, ยฃ50), and say that the money is ready to be withdrawn, if he is willing to pay the admin fee. In my case, he was.

This chap is obviously unaware of the irony inherent in his posts, what with his spamming to promote software (I assume, I haven't followed his links) to get rid of unwanted intrusions.

Spam is climbing up again.

-LOL- Looks like those should get a minimum character limit.

Ugh! That's even more annoying than the idiots who post the cover blurbs of books as 'reviews', or those who just post single lines like 'I really like this'; clearly just posting in bulk to get the points. That it matters to them that much is quite amusing, though.
