When browsing Listal lists, browser was redirected to a page asking to install a fake Java update.

DO-NOT-VISIT-www.wrodland.com/IT/index.php?dv1=11847092&dv2=&dv3=&dv4=&sec_id=qWJ8vBQjIE7QDEw6zEzoI07jDARuCZNR7BvK7cCnvEXRPBs3PAs0qnHafAsaNaua72CQCW7kfcCrvEC5vEt8fAN%EB&marketing_fid=MTM5OTM3ODEyMC1kMmI3MGMwYTZlOWEyNWZmOTZhMDQ1YTBhMzZkNmJjZg==

I noticed it on Chrome, while on Firefox I have NoScript so I couldn't see it anyway.

According to what I read, the redirection to that page is NOT caused by some installed malevolent software, but by hacks in advertising networks.

Oh man I thought it was just me. Yes I'm getting these messages too (twice today)! It only seems to be on Listal I'm getting this.

The fake Java update is a well known adware virus but after a thorough cleansing from anti-virus and anti-malware it seems not to be my computer or browser but this site, which is making me slightly reluctant about using it, quite frankly.

Listal uses a few different ad network so I can be hard to pinpoint the source of these, personally I have not seen this recently.

I have removed one of the advertising networks, please can you let me know if you still get these so I can see if that was the one responsible.

Update: today I ran a complete anti-malware scan with two scanners. Both MSE and MBAM found a "player setup.exe" suspicious file in my download folder. According to sources, this piece of malware is related to the fake java updater, that is to say the link I reported. The file was saved on my PC on May 8, and that's the same week when I noticed the above issue. So I guess the page my browser was redirected to by the "bad ad" (which Tom has since blocked) was able to download the file. Fortunately I never executed it, so no damage was done.
