Sort link on the movies

I am a focused person, so please forgive me for forgetting to say I think your site is great!!! What a service. I am impressed.

I hit the movie link and it showed what appears to be your whole list of movies. It would rock if we had a sort link to view those movies. If I had a link to sort them alphabetically I would already have all my movies entered on my site. If there is any way to do this please, please put it on your (very busy) list. Thanks

Are you wanting the ability to sort your collections alphabetically? If so look on your list (ie www.listal.com/all/movies/1/?sortby=rating-desc ) and look at the right side of the page just above the listings. There should be a bit that says sort and a dropdown box. From this you can choose to sort by title name. ;)

Hope thats what you're looking for. It can be confusing trying to find out all of the options at first.

Thank you that is not what I am asking for. I understand how to sort my list. I am asking for a way to sort the movie list that Listal has. If it were sortable one could just go down the list and select the movies they own, want to see, etc., then choose the list it is to be put in and have the task finished in minutes. As it is we need to search for a movie, locate it, then select where it is to be listed.

I started doing this with the Listal list so I know it works. It would just be so much more manageable if we could select the sort according to how each person sorts their collections. As for me it is alphabetical.

I'm not sure anyone would want to sort the entire listal movie database alphabetically. It would be an insane amount of time to go thru the database such way, going thru a vast majority of movies that don't have any watchers or even movie images, and a disproportionally skewed result of all movies beginning with 'A' or 'The', and foreign films would be sorted alpahbetically by their 'English' title.

best ways right now are to search movies you want to add, or go thru the 'explore movies' features which basically goes thru all the 'top watched' films, or skim thru all the 'top rated' films to add them to your collection, or another you can do is go by your favorite actors. Say start with Sean Connery, and go thru all his movies, and add all the ones you've watched. then pick another actor, and go thru his movies, etc.. Or perhaps by your favorite directors.

Ahh, I get you now. Prelude's suggestion is good, building your collection will take take and effort, but the end result is well worth it. :)
