The only Linkin Park album I have is Meteora. It's not bad, though I prefer Nobody's Listening and Hit the Floor greatly over most of the other tracks. See if you can branch out a little, Yama. Try listening to A Perfect Circle (my personal favorite band). That should be a fair gateway for you to get into more music. If you want to go for stuff that's funky/dark, listen to Nine Inch Nails. If you want stuff that's metal/electronica-sounding, Rammstein's pretty good. If you just want dark gritty metal, Tool's your best bet. You might like Marilyn Manson as well.

Afterall, 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' is dark in its own right.

I already do Nine Inch Nails

I have a rather large collection of songs that I like...

ACDC, 3 Days Grace, System of a Down, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Raconteurs, Sting and the Cops, Beastie Boys, AFI Alien Ant Farm, Arctic Monkeys, Black Eyed Peas, Puddle of Mudd, Linkin Park, Nickelback, Bowling for Soup, Boys Like Girls, Green Day, Breaking Benjamin, Cake, Fly Leaf, Disturbed, Dope, Fall out Boys, Fort Minor, Eminem, Fat Boy Slim, Finger 11, Eve 6, Foo Fighters, Franz Ferdinand, God Smack, Gorillaz Green Day, Jamie T, Jamie Kennedy, HIM, Incubus, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Local H, MC Lars, MCR, Plain White Ties, POD, Red Hot Chili Peppers, RIP SLYME, Rise Against, Seether, Shaggy, Simple Plan, Snow Patrol, Smash Mouth, Skillet, The Fray, All-American Rejects, The Killers, The Offspring, The Starting Line, White Stripes, 3 Doors Down, U2, Weezer, 1000 Foot Krutch, Bullet For My Valentine

Some of those are old as crap, some are new as crap and some are in between, some are rock, metal, all sorts of stuff

I've been wanting to get into some of those. I admire the stripped-down aspect of The White Stripes, for instance. I also want to hear Arctic Monkeys purely out of curiosity.

I'd recommend Brianstorm and Fluorescent Adolescent, those are my favorites(Don't expect them to be yours, but they are still cool, though... wierd lyrics lolz)

Bullet for my valentine and slipknot is more just "metal" than "death metal", as they both miss the necessary gutteral vocals :)

Moz La Punk 16 years, 2 months ago at Mar 29 13:44 -
Nathan: somehow I don't think thats her... style... if you consider Linkin Park dark music, right? So I wouldn't recommend them ;)
silent killer 16 years, 1 month ago at Mar 29 20:45 -
screamo -_-
well, its not all bad.

Pantera, Queens of the Stone Age, The Distillers, Shadows Fall, Nonpoint, Sevendust are also good. Maybe also Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Mars Volta.

Rolling Stones and Cream perhaps if you like the old stuff.

Also, long version don't care if its dark or not.
