Some Intelligent Conversation

I'm sure it's not just my imagination that the forums are being overrun with threads that stray so far away from topic that you have no idea what they are on about, and I don't just mean after a few posts either but right at the beginning, or that they start out as nonesense and carry on that way. I'm not the only one who has noticed this so in an attempt to keep some of my sanity and hopefully confusion at bay, I thought maybe we should start some threads that make sense.

So I ask you guys this (preferably people who use proper words and don't start threads that only their friends can understand so no one else can participate), what 'intelligent' topics would you actually like to discuss. I'm interested to know. I'm bored out of my wits (having a bad weekend so I'm trying to distract myself) and I'm sick of coming across threads that are gibberish!

Ahh, Midnight, how about some book talk? Thats about all I'm good for unless someone else comes up with something. I think we've already covered the degredation of the English language. :P

Oh I think we have covered that to death! I'm happy to talk about anything including books as long as it isn't gibberish and doesn't hurt my head ;) It's sore enough as it is...

Hopefully I've started enough new threads to get some intellect showing, but I'll see where they go before creating anymore. ;)

I agree with that Voxy and that's when I don't mind it straying off topic. It's just when it turns into nonsensical babble that drives me insane and there was a whole lot yesterday.

I also thought I'd ask what everyone likes to talk about because to be honest I have no idea what 'normal' people talk about anymore. I couldn't think of anything myself! Brain isn't working lately.

Yes, sometimes it does feel a bit 'Dr. Tarr and Professor Feather'.

I too feel the same, i aint degrading other people's thought, but its true that the threads are becoming in more of personal conversations, if there are any ideas of starting new threads, please post them in, the most we can do is, ignore, or atleast answer sensible questions in threads posted nowadays.

Listal is all about likings, boredom shouldnt destroy it, keep it going fellows, the fun has just started :)

Gibberish is Fun! You can say anything and know you are right. Expand your consciousness with me now. You know it doesn't make sense. Abuseiveness and all that is not too needed though y'know
I think conversation topics should have no boundaries.
If it doesn't interest you, start another thread about something that does.
