17 years, 11 months ago at May 21 8:44 - I wasn't sure where to post this, but I have a few ideas on how to improve the Books section on the site (may be relevant to other sections though). Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Firstly, the alphabetisation isn't quite right. "The" should not make the work listed under T instead of the letter or the second word. The authors should be listed alphabetically with the last name first.
Secondly, can there be a way of searching for an ISBN to add to your collection. I have found that my version of the book isn't present when I search for it/it is buried under pages of other versions and other books. It is for this reason I have only uploaded some of my book collection. The site LibraryThing already has this feature and it works very well.
Thirdly, we should have the option of editing the information on a book, such as when the author section is missing/the cover of the book.

And in general, it'd be nice to be allowed to delete one's comments (for example I just posted one of mine twice by mistake, and I can't undo that).

17 years, 11 months ago at May 21 18:06 - I also just noticed something. Whenever I try to search for "The Cider House Rules" in the movies section the format of the page is all messed up. I can add it, but when I do the format of it and no others is different (the rating box (Personal) is missing). Is this just me?

17 years, 11 months ago at May 21 18:11 - I also noticed that when I want to enter a comment (review), the title boy is limited to 50 characters, but when the same comment is displayed, its title is cut after the 40th character.

I really, really, really hope this feature can be added, not only for books, but also for games and movies. A lot of books I have in my collection need to be edited and some DVDs are either all caps or have no caps or are missing info and various games I can't add becuz the ones on here go in the wrong section. IE: NES games are in the PC category.
And if Tom feels this is too much 'power', then he can just approve or disapprove edits made by members on here. This has worked well on other collection sites. There can also be a feature on the main page that shows you what edits you've made and if they were added or not.
