so Tom... what's planned for Person pages?

I know its a hot item to get developed, but I was wondering what sort of things are planned for the Person pages (for actors/actresses/authors, etc..).

I was thinking probably Nationality, Date of Birth, obviously list of movies for the actors, list of books for authors, or at least a link to the list since screen space is valuable, but what about also 3rd party links such as to IMDB (I guess that one is assumed) but also links to perhaps wikipedia and/or nndb.com entries might be nice. or how about just let users add custom links, such as to the ones listed above, but also to fansites and such? Also, links to see who has this person on their favorties list, and perhaps even rating value for each person.

wow, Tom, you sure have a lot of work ahead of you. LOL

I am planning on adding a lot of the stuff that is on the item pages e.g. comments, added to favorites, rating, friends ratings, maybe tags as well. I also want to add recommendations/similar users that can be calculated from ratings. Short list of items of course and maybe list of items that you have rated.

In the future I would also like to add similar people and editable information, Nationality, Date of Birth, links like you mention.

tags would be neat.

imagine the possibilities: show me all 'sexy' and 'redhead' actresses. LOL

and you can tag in stuff like birthdates, nationality, oscar winner, etc..

sweet. you're keeping us busy with all these features, Tom. now i feel compelled to go and rate, tag, and release all my fave actors back into the wild. ;)

p.s. with the latest change you did, the number of 'views' of my fave actors/actress is buggered. Bruce willis, 39 views, but when i click on it, it shows only 13 films. Owen Wilson, 20 views, click on it, 10 films. odd. Some people got a 3x factor, others got a 2x factor. Its seems to be random.

holy slick changes, batman! once again, outstanding work. I'm talking about the addition of movies to the 'people' pages. Complete with rating, thumbs, and personal list status.

The actor's views number is still buggered. If it helps any, My Directors items numbers are correct, its only My Actors lists that are either multiplied by 2 or 3. Unless you're experimenting with some sort of algorith to force popular actors to be displayed closer to the front, in which case, excuse my ignorance. :) maybe some sort of (# of movies in collection x personal rating factor). That way, if an actor we like and give 10 star rating, but has only been in 2 movies, they may be listed further up our TOP list vs a B-grade no-name actor that stars as an extra in 6 movies on my list.

Just another reminder, the # of views for actors is still off. Bruce Willis shows up as 42 views in my profile, but when i click on it, it shows only 14 movies. That's a 3:1 factor being applied. Some actors get 2:1 factor. The Director's # of views seem to be correct.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just my profile that's messed up?
