Smartphone Gaming

Since the inception of the iPhone, Android OS, and other smartphones in recent years development for games on their platforms have picked up. Most are either too simple or just plain bad but there are a few that really standout and are extremely fun to play.
Now I know not everyone here has the money to buy smartphones but I do know that some of you are and wanted to know what do you think of the situation and maybe even some game recommendations.

I agree that there are only a few games that stand out, I include among these Angry Birds, Homerun Battle 3D and a number of Flight/Driving Sims. However anyone without a smartphone should not feel left out, or that they are in any way missing something. There are far better games available online and often for free, that easily match or exceed the titles available on smartphones so far.
I believe that smartphones are the future of gaming, when powerful enough, but still a long way away from being a match for any game console with all its current add-ons. I have however seen a demo of Quake on Android and the potential for some great titles is there.
I've put up a few reviews of my top three titles, for any Smartphone users.

Nice to see that I'm not the only Android user around here. I thought most would have the iPhone and be zombies to (Cr)Apple's handset.
And thanks for remembering that some of the games I have on my phone I bought and can be added to the site.
Here are some that's I've recently rated and reviewed:

Okay, even if the last post is more than one year ago: Smartphone-Gaming is great in my opinion ;)
I wanted to use android because i wanted a real "powerhorse" for a new phone and i DIDN'T want it to has anything to do with apple. So i was searching for a new phone quite a while until i found the Xperia Play, a FULL Gaming Handy! And i really like it. Okay, there are NOT many Games just for the Xperia Play (Sony lost here). But you can run NES/SNES/MD/MasterSystem/GBA and even PSX Emulators on it! That is really great!
