Site Freezing
Anying having issue with Listal freezing on them from time to time?
I'm finding issues often when voting, click to vote and nothing happens, wait a while and still nothing. Click on Listal to go bak to Home page and the site is frozen, can see the site buffering but eventually have to quit Listal. On going back in esp if I have closed the broswer (Edge) than back in its fine again, at least for a while.

I'm definitely having those issues too, can't upload or do pretty much anything other then replying to threads or voting ("-ࡇ-)

Sent a message to Tom, I am experiencing the same issues.
Yep, me too.
I'm on my phone right now, so I can't capture it, but if anyone else gets a 524 error, can you copy/paste the error cause and send it to Tom, as well? It definitely says the server is overloaded.
I don't have any freezes, but I'm having the old problem with uploading images (the error 524 and broken thumbnails of those uploaded images) right now. I have just sent the error message to Tom, but he has never replied to my messages.
I find there are times it takes forever to upload anything...
According to the update feed, no one has been able to upload an image in 3 days...
Kind of fells like a static site that's dead in the water :(
What this site is anyways just soft porn picture collection at this point
@true変態
It has a huge database of Movies, TV shows, games, fictional characters and music .
Aside from the technical issues, Listal is the best website I've ever seen.

Dropped Tom another message about the site issues, also asking him to respond so we know that he hasn’t been hacked, quit maintaining the site without warning users or died. (I literally included that.)
Has he responded to anyone? At all? Because I'm starting to think he's no longer present... (·•᷄_•᷅ )
Not me. However, I managed to upload a test picture. It didn't generate a 524 error but still came up as a broken thumb. :-(
Is this helpful? Supposedly, it’s the company’s registry history.

If the company doesn’t exist, why would Tom not inform users and why did he continue to maintain the site through a week ago? That’s not cool, leaving users in the lurch. The least he could do if the site was in trouble was transfer it to a third party, and inform us if it was at risk of closure.
Some of the info I found suggests this was a one-man operation the whole time. We deserve confirmation from him. Even if we don’t, we need to figure out whether there’s a site like this we can migrate to if it goes down.

Hello everyone,
it would really be a shame to shut down this amazing site. Personally, and it might be a coincidence, it was as soon as I tried to change my email address in my profile that things started to "bug." I clicked who knows how many times on "click here... resend email address," nothing happens, but I can see here that I am far from the only one experiencing problems: I can’t upload anything anymore. Hopefully this will get resolved, Listal is by far my favorite site.
Best regards, Apo

Idk not gonna write off listal completely just yet. Who knows how long this bug will last but I check everyday if uploading is fixed. But it's all up to Tom at this point. If it's not fixed at the end of the month then idk
Unfortunately it does not look good, would appear from the Gov UK Company information site that Listal is being dissolved, hope we are wrong.
Does anyone know of any similar sites we could move to if this is the case?

What’s Actually Going On With Listal Limited? A Clear Breakdown of the Official Records
Over the past few weeks, a few of us have been wondering what’s happening behind the scenes with Listal — especially given the slowdown, the lack of updates, and the general “lights are on, but nobody’s home” vibe. So I dug into the official UK government filings for LISTAL LIMITED, the company historically associated with Listal.com..
Here’s a clean, factual summary of what the records show, with a few observations where the paperwork practically comments on itself.
1. The Company Behind Listal Has Been Dissolved
According to the UK government’s Companies House database, LISTAL LIMITED (Company No. 07822412) was officially dissolved on 16 December 2025.
This wasn’t a voluntary closure. It was a compulsory strike‑off, which usually happens when a company stops filing required documents or stops responding to notices. (I've been watching this since October, and even attempted to contact Tom offering to purchase the website)
The timeline looks like this:
— 30 September 2026 — First Gazette notice for strike‑off
— 16 December 2025 — Final Gazette notice; company dissolved
Once a company is dissolved, it legally ceases to exist. It can’t operate, can’t hold assets, and can’t run a website as a corporate entity.
Whether the website continues running anyway… well, that’s another story.
2. Yes, This Is the Same “Listal” Connected to Listal.com
Everything lines up:
— Name: LISTAL LIMITED
— Registered office: 20–22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU
— Business type: 63110 – Data processing, hosting and related activities
— Person with Significant Control:
—— Thomas Mascord, born 1979, British, holding 75%+ ownership
The address is a well‑known virtual office used by thousands of small companies, so the address alone doesn’t prove anything — but the combination of the name, the business category, and the PSC information makes it clear this is the same entity behind Listal.com.
3. What Dissolution Means in Practical Terms
When a company is dissolved:
— It cannot legally operate
— It cannot collect payments or run paid services
— It cannot employ staff
— It cannot act as a data controller under GDPR
— Its assets may become bona vacantia (property of the Crown)
Yet Listal.com is still online. That suggests one of a few possibilities:
— A. The site is running on autopilot
Servers and domains might be on auto‑renew, and no one is actively maintaining the corporate side.
— B. The owner is still running the site personally
But without a legal company behind it.
— C. A new company exists under a similar name
There are other “Listal Limited” or “Listal Ltd” entities out there, but none appear to match the original one’s details so far.
If a reincorporation happened, it hasn’t been linked to the original company number.
4. Filing History Shows a Slow Decline Before the Shutdown
The filings paint a pretty clear picture:
— Accounts were filed regularly up to 2023
— Confirmation statements continued up to October 2024
— After that, nothing
— Strike‑off proceedings began in 2025
— Dissolution finalized in December 2025
This is exactly what happens when a small online business winds down or the owner stops maintaining the administrative side.
No drama — just silence, then paperwork catching up.
5. The Person With Significant Control
The PSC record lists:
— Thomas Mascord
— 75%+ ownership
— Same Wenlock Road address
This confirms the long‑known connection between Listal.com and its operator.
6. So… What Does This Mean for Listal.com??
Legally speaking:
The company behind Listal no longer exists.
Practically speaking:
The website is still online, but without an active corporate entity behind it.
That raises questions about:
— Data protection
— Long‑term stability
— Who (if anyone) is maintaining the platform
— Whether the site is running on inertia
None of this means Listal is disappearing tomorrow — but it does explain the lack of updates, communication, and development.
7. Final Thoughts
This isn’t speculation — it’s straight from the UK government’s own filings. The company that operated Listal.com is dissolved, and the site appears to be running without an active legal structure behind it.
Whether that means Listal is in its twilight phase or simply coasting quietly is anyone’s guess. But at least now the community has the facts.
Between the company dissolving and the site glitching like it’s being held together by expired duct tape, the writing on the wall isn’t just visible — it’s practically filing a support ticket.
