Chapter 1: Stolen Fabric: part 1
Running is very tiring. Espescially when your running for no reason at all. Well, except the fact that your parents are screaming at you for something you didn't do, and your punishment isn't even rational to the situation. I'm getting ahead of myself aren't I?
I don't get tired when I run. Since I'm currently a squirrel, running seems more like a habit. Animal instincts can quickly take over your whole train of thought. However, I wasn't a squirrel just because I wanted to run. My clothes had been taken by some other squirrels when I was a doe, so i figured that "squirrel me" could be able to comprehend with them.
Squirrels were clever creatures, I'll give them that, but they messed with the wrong Shapeshifter. I had experience as other animals as well, so maybe I could get some help from the other forest creatures. I stared sniffing to find the scent of my clothes. No luck. Suddenly, I spotted a buck a few feet ahead of me. I quickly climbed down the tree I was on, and morphed into a doe. When animals communicate, they have this body language to represent what they are trying to say. I guess I'll translate.
"Hey, did you see any squirrels around?" I asked.
"I heard they found a warm pile of human fabric. They keep rolling around in it." the buck replied.
I sighed in my head. " Will you help me find them then?"
