Sequel to Shaolin Soccer (sort of)

(Assuming all goes well) Chow is a producer on a Japanese pseudo-sequel to Shaolin Soccer currently called Shaolin Shoujo. Kou Shibasaki (currently starring in DORORO) will be the lead and a couple of players from Shaolin Soccer, Lam Tze Chung and Kai Man Tin, are supposed to be in it too, but don't know how big their roles will be.
Plot Synopsis:
Shibasaki plays Rin, who returns to Japan after undergoing nine years of training in order to take over her grandfather’s Shaolin kung-fu dojo in China and ends up helping out a sport science university’s lacrosse team.
