Please can you post more specific details on the type of lists you are having problems with or links to specific lists. I have tested and cannot find any problems with creating sections and moving items between them.

Moving items from one section to another caused that a duplicate
was created in the first section but without the item notes. The original item with the notes that I wanted to move stayed in the original section. I could only move the new duplicate without the notes. It was very weird.

I had this problem with this list as it was set to private:

After changing the status to public I never experienced such problems anymore.

FYI, I've had the drag/drop problems earlier in some private lists. Do note that if you are using Firefox, the there are occasionally problems with editing sections. Switch to Chrome for that particular list and it seems to edit fine. Looking at the console logs indicated an "object not found" problem, but I couldn't figure out which object.

One way to reproduce this: Create a section, edit it and set the title to "Belén Rodríguez". You can no longer edit the section in FF, The extended chars cause problems in FF with the above error, but works fine in chrome.

A datapoint to consider...
Also, I didn't check the private list issue from Chrome.

Confirmed. It nearly killed my Test list!
Now I can't edit other sections either, apart from the first one.

The extended chars cause problems in FF with the above error, but works fine in chrome.

I am going to try that.

Chrome did the trick! It allowed me to fix the broken section (with extended chars in the section title) in my Test list.

But I still can't rearrange items in my list www.listal.com/list/my-lists-orangep , not even using Chrome.

Whilst rearranging items in sections, I noticed that every item dragged to another section goes in back-to-front, i.e. the items put in first end up being moved to the end, for example pictures 1 2 3 4 end up as 4 3 2 1, and therefore have to be manually rearranged in that section instead of just a simple drag and drop.

@SilverCloud Yep, the most recently added item to a section will be the first item in that section. It isn't really a bug and something to just remember when your move items from section to section.

I'd claim it's a "bug" or at least a "mis-feature" since it differs from the behaviour when you add items to the list itself. There it always added front to back, which actually is a pain 'cause if you need to move the latest items to another section and the 1st section is big, you have to do multiple moves to get it to the first screen before you can move it to another section.
Anautix 10 years, 7 months ago at Oct 28 13:17 -
There is again a list where I cannot move items from one section to another. It's this image list: www.listal.com/list/europe-color-prokudingorsky .

Only the first section is visible at the moment, because the others are empty.

It doesn't work in all modes: private, semi-public, public. And it makes no difference whether I use the Firefox or Chrome.

Edit:
I just realized, that I didn't choose a category for the list. Now I set the category to "Places" and it works.

@Anautix
After I set a category, I can move items between sections again, too. Thanks! :)
Anautix 10 years, 7 months ago at Oct 29 2:43 -
I'm glad it worked for you too.
