Se borrarón los datos!

No me parece justo que hayan borrado los datos de hace 1 mes!
Listal ya viene fallando en cuanto subes una foto y luego le das click y la imagen no aparece!
No sean malos pues!
Ahora espero que regresen las fotos que han eliminado, ya muchos usuarios andan molestos con el tema porque aquí guardan tambien sus fotos favoritas, así que no se pasen.

All of the pictures uploaded in the last month are gone.

all those pics gone and yet the oversized "upload a picture" thumbnail on my end is permanent and here to stay ugh i thought listal being down for so long would fix it but it really is permanent :( all that hard work i did to upload pics so i don't have to see "upload a picture" oversized like crazy vanished just like that

In fact, not only the uploaded pictures from the last month are gone, everything (reviews, list created or updated,....) is gone as well. It's like they put the website into a time machine and put it as it was a month ago. I mean, I'm glad the website is back but this is really brutal.

I've noticed people and movies/tv I added are gone too. I'm glad listal is back too but it sucks big time, gonna take forever to reupload all those pics.

Server reset yet I'm having trouble uploading pics and I still see oversized images occasionally
Couldn't fix that but could delete everything else...

@Bloo Desde ahora tendremos que guardar nuestras fotos en Pinterest o en PenDrive y guardar la lista en privado en FB para que no se nos pierda nada en este sitio.
Es una pena que a menudo se esté cayendo el sitio.
Tengo años aquí y jamás había ocurrido algo tan semejante, nunca me imaginé que eliminarían todo de 1 mes!
Ojalá que lo arreglen si o si !

I'm having trouble uploading pics too.

Sadly I don't think restoring all that data will be possible if this Alert on the homepage is anything to go by...

Alert: Due to a server failure Listal had to be restored from an older backup. Unfortuantly attempts over the past 2 days to restore from a recent backup have failed and it was necessary to restore from August 16th. Apologies for the lost data and time. The website has been move to a better infrastructure to ensure better stability in the future.

This is unbelievable :(((( thats a month worth of uploads & updates across different channels. Old deleted photos that were inappropriate are back again.

I tried uploading it photo, and it wouldn’t up,load.

All those pics deleted and right now we can't even upload pics to restore what we can...

I know. Any data you have posted over the weeks, is gone, so now you have to input it over again.

really thought listal being down would fix the problem i have with upload a picture thumbnail being oversized but this server reset didn't fix a thing very disappointing

Oversize profile/avatar issue has not been resolved which is odd considering system restored from August 16th, and this problem came after this date!
Pictures wont upload for me either, so unable to replace lost images.
All a bit of a mess at the moment.

It is a little bit of a relief, I thought someone hacked my account ! All the pictures I added to my lists vanished… Is there any hope it will be back again ?

lame, thanks for getting it back up but so damn inconvenient, the amount of movies I've watched & rated recently, no damn way I'll remember all of them. kind of don't feel like back tracking or trying to remember what photos i uploaded recently either. I use listal for a reason but may have to fly off to letterboxd or imdb. my OCD will not allow me to not keep track of what crap I watched or how I rated it.

the running of this place its a disaster to put it mildly, but its a place that earns the owner some money so I don't get it why he does such an incompetent job

So basically everything we posted after that is gone. I'm so sad, I've created a lot of profile and posted a lot of pics and now they're gone =´(

I was in the process of creating a bunch of new lists - all gone. Thousands of HQ pics - all gone. New movies and TV shows I was looking forward to watching - all gone.

@bloo - True. It's no different than when you create a timepoint on your personal computer. It will only go back as far as what was saved at the timepoint.

I DID send Tom a rather pointed email a few hours after the page went black, about the increasing severity of the blackouts/500 ERROR events, the repeated broken thumbs issues and the fact that the site was being overrun with SPAMMERs. Maybe migrating this to a new server (something that should have been done YEARS ago) will correct some of these problems?

4 1/2 weeks worth of our unpaid contributions to this website gone. we do it for fun & our passion(s) not a thank you but we do essentially work here for free. I've been on listal longer than I've had a facebook page but this now makes it a lot harder to want to dive back in & start going back to work. the site has crashed plenty of times in the past but never like this current time machine loss. really kind of extinguishes the fire in me to even want to jump back in right away to re-rate, re-tag, re-upload & remember everything from at least the past month. defites the purpose, listal was/is my way of remembering, an easier way to keep track. this is better than nothing but knowing another 4 weeks worth of time put in can be swiped away so swiftly has me real damn hesitant to bother trying reestablish where I was again. first world problems yeah but I clearly have no life outside of watching movies alone.
