Screenshots in image galleries are getting out of hand

Didn't there used to be a rule about not posting images that are extremely similar? I can't find that rule anymore so I guess it went away but I wish it would come back. Users are now posting dozens, sometimes hundreds, of screenshots from videos that are all basically the same. What is the point of posting 20-30 screencaps from a 5 second Instagram story?

Someone recently posted 170 screenshots of a Kathryn Newton red carpet interview from Comic Con. I think Kathryn Newton is great but do we really need 170 extremely similar images of her speaking into a microphone?

If you can't upload the video, just upload 2 or 3 screenshots and be done with it. These photos are just clogging up the image galleries.

Yeah, this is terribly annoying. I'd like this rule to come back, too. I didn't think it went away. I've deleted a lot of these, but can't keep up.

I won't out any particular members, but it's a real REVELATION to know that I don't need to watch an Instagram story when all I have to do is look at all 50-60 screenshots from it instead,....

I agree. Every frame from a low quality video flooding the posts is just annoying. & yes, I may be exaggerating... but only a little bit.
Seems to almost be a competition between a few posters to post the most crappy screen grabs.

Such a shame to keep allowing a few people to overload these photo collections with garbage. Do these people really think anyone benefits from flooding topics with these low quality screen grabs. It already takes longer having to open an image twice to view it in it's best quality. Sifting through (sometimes pages) of poor quality stuff is discouraging and likely turning people away.

Is there some reward for posting large numbers of photos that maybe need adjusted?
Listal is such a cool website. It's just got a few things that need a bit more attention.
Are moderators having trouble keeping up with things?
Is there anything we (users) can do to help out?
