I just find it hard to be saddened by Spielbergs films as they are far too manipulative and take an obvious standpoint - I was however saddened when Spielberg was interviewed about Minority Report and he basically condoned imprisonment without trial and other BS the Govt inflicts upon people
There are far better "sad" movies out there - Plague Dogs, When The Wind Blows, A Bridge To Terabithia and Grave Of The Fireflies (though the last is little too manipulative)

11 years, 2 months ago at Feb 19 9:32 - I remember watching Bridge To Terabithia and felt really sad or maybe because that was years ago and I was young, I need to re-watch that and also try Grave Of The Fireflies heard nothing but good things about that film.
Anyway, the truth is Schindler's List is a sad movie because it happened in real life. Another related movie is The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

11 years, 2 months ago at Mar 3 6:19 - Spielberg ruined himself with that movie and everything he has put out ever since. If there is a director that is totally far passed his prime and needs to hang up the towel, look no further than right at him.

11 years, 1 month ago at Mar 13 19:11 - the movie itself in some parts can be very powerfull but i gotta say that i teared up a little when schindler realzed that he could have saved more people and everyone just conforted him, its at that point you realize how good schindler really is, and its actually the part where his humanity shows up the most.
