Saw XVII

My brother called my one day and told me about this dream he had. I wanted to share it with listal. In brief.

It starts off with him in the movie theater watching Saw XVII. The movie is abyssal and chuck full of torture porn, but the real magic happens at the endings big "twist". The now fully recognizeable ending theme score begins and the movie recaps with Jigsaw's voiceover and scenes that you may have overlooked. Then Jigsaw, who is still played by Torbin Bell, says something like, "Now time for my final play...", and morphs into a...tyrannosaurus rex.

The crowd roars with acceptance of this. He is the only person in the theater that doesn't cheer. Everyone's insane. The movie is unfathomable, but nobody will admit it because movie ticket a so damn expensive. He gets up and walks away and shudders about the future of movies.

So no improvement over the previous versions of Saw then?!

Saw (the original) was a classic, love it!

All the saw films have been as entertaining as any other horror film IMO. Horror is a massively overrated genre that is full of appalling writing and unimaginative usage of bangs and suspense music to make the whole thing feel worse than it is. I would rather a film with no music/sound effects scare me but they hardly exist.
