Resident Evil games

Why?

I was only ever interested in Resident Evil 2. Granted I played 1 and '3' but RE2 was a whole 'nother level of decent gameplay and outrageous plot.

I'm biding my time to play RE4.

I'm not keen on anything I've played before RE4. I know that the style of control was a design choice made to help with the atmosphere, but it basically makes the game almost unplayable (IMHO). I may well go back and give the original another go at some point though.

RE4 has a minor flaw in that you can't move and aim at the same time (would have no doubt been different had it not been originally on the 'cube with just one analogue stick), but the general controls make it feel that survival's in your power rather than dependant on what the game throws at you. It's a whole different type of survival horror game really, and I much prefer it for that.

Pity that RE5 doesn't look like it'll be out on the Wii :o(

Same here, I liked the first Resident Evil because it was a refreshing experience but Capcom kept hanging onto those difficult controls. Controlling your character was the horror itself and by the time I started on RE2 I was already sick of it.

Resident Evil 4 is a joy to play through though and it's also a very varied experience. Excellent game, so that would be my favourite of the series.

I like the first resident evil game, it's the only one I played. Even that game scared me, especially when the dogs and crows smashed through the window :(

I wish I was Albert Wesker though!
