request for an addition to the games' platform options

while its library isn't very big, the sega 32x is still technically a separate console (granted, an add-on one) from the sega genesis; you can't play 32x games on a genesis/mega drive without the 32x hardware attached. so, i was wondering if a new platform option could be made for these games. i also have no problem supplying whatever might be needed for creating the main page for the sega 32x...like pics, info, etc.

But the Sega 32X isn't a game console its a console add-on that's like saying kinect for the xbox 360 should have its own section because the kinect games aren't going to be called xbox 360 games but they are. Kinect it shouldn't be its own section its a console add-on same as the Sega 32X and really if you think about it even the Sega CD shouldn't be its own section as it is a console add-on as well.

well, there's a difference. kinect games will still play in an xbox 360 with or without the kinect equipment. will it be playable? no, but it will still boot up because it's an xbox 360 game for the xbox 360 console. afterall, kinect is basically just a fancy controller. for the 32x, the games are not playable on a genesis unless the hardware is installed. you can't boot up 32x games on a genesis without the 32x being present. add-on or not, it's still technically a separate console.

as for the sega cd, the first two models were add-ons, but the third model was a stand-alone console...but again, even if you just count the first two variations, good luck trying to play a sega cd game in a genesis. again, add-on or not, it was technically a console....and later models made it official.

i wouldn't mind that, but i'd just like to see a separate area listed as 'sega 32x' so that all 32x games can be found in one dedicated section for them. if for no other reason, it just makes it much, much easier to see which ones i own (my memory is horrible) rather than sifting through all the genesis/mega drive games and taking note of the 32x games as i see 'em.
