When reporting a duplicate image
Deleted user

I was wondering when reporting a duplicate image does it always appear in listal issue reports.Cause i reported a duplicate image and it appeared as a thread in the listal issue reports.

Yep, but only you and the mods can see the issue reported. You can check back later and see under:
Completed issue reports
or
Rejected issue reports
That way you can see if the mods agreed with you or rejected your report. Handy for idiots like myself who sometimes report things incorrectly and can then go in and make a follow up comment about why I reported the issue.
But I'm not a mod so I'm not sure how much time they spend reading my love poems to duplicate images.

I don't really like to report. I usually just ask who ever posted a picture or screenshot i already posted to get rid of it if they don't well i got no other option.

It's better to report as the votes for the duplicate will be transferred to the old image, also anyone who has bookedmarked the duplicate will be redirected to the old image.

FYI, Tom's answer seems to partially correct (at least in the new version. I don't know how the old version did this). All the voters images are transferred to the new one, but the vote count isn't. That itself is not a big deal, but if I had voted for the old one, I can no longer vote for the new one even if the vote count says 0. Something to consider.
[Edit - Nov 13] The vote counts now seem to be updating to the correct number on a periodic basis. Seems like a batch job is running to fix them. Thanks.
