Remaining bugs part II

I believe all issues mentioned in the first thread are cleared up now, I'm starting a new thread to avoid it getting too big.

Please let me know of any remaining bugs on this beta site (or bugs that exist in both sites) don't assume I know they exist! There are a lot of pages on this site and it's easy to miss things.

Books ( Overview)

On the right side I can see only 5 lists under "Custom Lists" (also on the left side it states: "Lists (5)"), but I know there are/were at least 6 or 7!

And when I click on "View all" it shows only 2 (private lists are not shown)...

When searching for people on Custom Lists, if the result comes up with nothing there is no notification to say so.

"Could not find any matches for [entered word]"

Just be handy to have on there. :-)

Fixed both of those

There is also something wrong with the Author search function on the main banner. It just brings up a list of authors as opposed to who I/your looking for. It also comes up with error messages from time to time.

I've fixed it, it was happening when you were on your own profile domain.

Also click mine when searching for lists and game platforms now works. Clicking mine when searching people will perform a search on all people.

Actors & Actresses/Music artists/Authors/Directors (for example:
( Explore Actors & Actresses)

After clicking on "View all" (under Top rated or Top listed), on this page Top watched actors:

1) I can not add a new vote or change a previous vote (X number of yellow stars)

2) Some actors have a X number of yellow stars even though I didn't rate them (I checked their personal page), some have a wrong number of stars, some none (but I rated them!)

um, as of this morning, when i click on Edit Item for any game, I can't seem to be able to change 'Platform'. Only name, release date, and description. Big bug, since many Amazon.com imports are missing platform, or say 'Windows' or 'Vista' rather than 'PC Games'.

Fixed both of these.

Also, I'm not sure but I always thought there was a link back to item page from a video page, such as this:

But on top, its just 'added by Prelude', an Edit link, and a Delete link. I could've swore that there used to be a link BACK to the game itself, in this case, Prince of Persia: Prodigy. Or if there wasn't, there should be :)

I see! it is a bug, but different. You go here:

and go to add Video from Video Sharing Site, and it adds the Video to your PERSONAL VIDEO section, and NOT the game's section.

GA, with new way, you click on the friend, and on their profile, click on 'Friend [edit]' link, which allows you to remove them.

I think it works better than the drag'n'remove method that worked only 20% of the time in old version of website.

Seems that 'sarcasm' is broken in the latest Beta built. I've posted several sarcastic comments in forums, obviously meant as jokes, and they keep getting literally interpreted as critiques, or comments, or fact.

Grand Assault and Unholy Alliance seems to be experiencing this bug as well, sometimes with more frequency (I believe EVERY GA post is getting mis-interpreted). It didnt seem to be as bad before the start of the school semester. Not sure how external factors affect a beta website, but thought I'd point it out.

Noticed a little bug just now. When looking at my "recently added" section on my profile, the pictures next to the titles aren't re-sized/placed properly. The bottom of the pictures are cut off. Wasn't like that last time I looked...

It's always been like that to not have the box stretched down too much. I guess it does cut the pictures off quite a lot though.

Aye, I see that method. Just figured a red X next to them might be an easier and more callous way to do it!

I've changed the wording on the friends page to just say rearrange. I think the click on profile to remove friend method is ok for now.

If you click on the name of the last poster to a thread from the Groups page, it takes you back to the Old Listal page.

Are the games unmerging? I just did a check for Shadows of the Colossus and there are two entries for it on the same console...

This comment I added to list should have had break lines as such:

But on the lists page, it doesnt honor the break lines. This just started happening yesterday and today, I think.

Only for certain things unfortunately.

I was thinking the same thing. It gets rather frustrating sometimes, and some people might not be great spellers, but it's not too bad.

In Edit Style, it won't let me post a new picture for my background. Just for some reason the picture doesn't show up.

I don't think it is an actual bug, but when you type something in without the right letters from its respective language, or if you spell something wrong, the thing you are looking for never comes up. Could the search engine not bring up a "did you mean..." type list of the closest found entities?

It should work if you press enter in the text box after putting in an image, this needs to be improved though

When you click 'Post a comment' on someones profile and their box is in the left hand column, it stretches out over the boundaries.

On my movie overview page:

movies that I clicked on 'want to watch', like the Incredible Hulk and This is England, it says 'added to watched list' underneath its poster, on the right hand side area. Just a wording issue, i think.

Just tried to view a friend's List page, I got a critical error page instead.

I clicked on 'Lists' from their profile page.

Was just looking under Explore Lists under recently created Lists. Is is possible to remove all the Favourite Films/Books/Games/TV Shows/Actors & Actresses/Music Artists/ Authors lists from there? I believe the attention should be more on unique and creative lists than people's favourites.

There is a bug when clicking on people's names in Mail. It always takes you back to Old Listal.

They shouldn't be there but I think theres a bug in the old site, anyway I have converted all the existing ones back to standard favorite lists.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I can't currently rearrange any of my lists.

I can't see any problems with rearranging, tested with IE and Firefox

That's just weird. I tried again with Firefox and I still can't rearrange my lists but it works perfectly fine with Google Chrome.

Do the items not drag, or do they drag around and not save? Do other elements of the site work like rating items?
