Remaining bugs

I want to focus on fixing all remaining bugs on this site, please let me know if you find any.

I will be releasing the new site on Sunday.

This bug seems to do with the Search feature of Local Database only. Do the following steps:

Start here: Searching for Fifa 09
www.betalistal.com/search/games/1/?query=fifa+09

gives expected results.

Step 2: click on amazon.com button:
www.betalistal.com/search/games/1/?query=fifa+09&source=us

gives expected results.

Step 3: BUG!! click BACK to Local Database button:
www.betalistal.com/search/games/1/?query=fifa%2B09&source=

The search box now shows 'fifa+09' and gives EVERY game with both 'fifa' and '09' in the title... TONS of results, way more than in the other two cases...

Bug: Click on 'My Platforms' from this page gives Error 404:
www.betalistal.com/view/games

Bug: Still no way to get a listing of ALL PLATFORMS, like I used to be able to do on old site, by clicking on 'All Platforms'

Not sure if it was removed on purpose, but this page I personally find useful.

Lately I've been unable to get recommendations in the beta site by accessing people's profile pages. When I click on the recommendation link, it just brings up a blank page with no items. Not sure if this is just shut down for the beta site or not, but I thought I'd put it out there.

Nothing else immedately comes to mind.

Follow up to the 'All Platforms', it seems to be in menu after I click on 'All Games' in top right, so it is accessible, but clicking on it gives me a 'critical error' message and IP has been logged:

I also get an error every time I try to create a new list using the "New list name" box at the bottom of the search screen rather than creating the new list first with the "new list" link.

What kind of error, what are you searching for and what area? I have tried creating a couple of lists just now it works ok.

It makes my profile error out, and this is what I get when it does:
"A critical error has occured (207.109.76.194)

This error has been logged and will be dealt with asap."

The error is the same when I try to create a list as well.

Ok so when you click 'add to list' you get that error? or is that just the error when you visit your profile?

What are you searching for and what area is it in?

Are you searching 'All' or 'Mine'?

Sorry. It happens when I click add to a not previously existing list from any movie list search. And the error shows when I try to add to the new list the first time, and then also affects my profile.

Just now tried to upload a picture in my personal photos and got this error message:

That should be ok now

'Create a list on this topic' doesn't work on Person Lists.

Just now went to click on my points page on my profile (the link that has my rank number) and got this error message:

Top Rated [Actors], is a bad link.

The actors link has been changed, you might be looking at a old cached page.

Actually the links under favorites were wrong, I've now fixed that.

I just changed the display mode in "My Movies," but it didn't give me the choice I picked. I chose three columns, and it only gave me two.

Also at the bottom of the same page, the list selector and page numbers are there twice.

Does the url have :

At the top or www.betalistal.com/

It should have the first one if it is the second one there is a bad link somewhere

It looks fine now, and has the elfflame/betalistal address. But now when I try to add to any lists, or change the settings of the search with the drop-down menu from one sort type to another (ie, my ratings to date added), it gives me an invalid page error.

And now I'm trying to rearrange one of my lists: www.betalistal.com/list/favorite-spooky-movies And it doesn't save the list once I've sorted it. It lets me do it, but it reverts back to the same order when I go to the main screen to look at the list.

Fixed those problems now.

I think that having Tags on these pages makes it look really messy. It looked better before without them. Is it a bug?

Platform page is restored with a better page and sort options for each platform!

3 columns. Although there wasn't much difference with 2 columns either.

I think I've cleared out all the remaining problems with links now

"Images" (Recently promoted images) looks a bit messy: first row has 7 pictures, second row only 1, third row 8 pics, and so on.

Friend ratings are not shown separately on the movie pages.

I just tried to read a PM but I was redirected straight back to my inbox but the message was marked a read and I never got to read it.

Friends ratings are not shown any more because it's been replaced by a more flexible system of contacts/followers:

You just need to click follow and select movies for the the ratings to show.
