read but not owned

I have read quite a few books that I don't own (e.g. borrowed from library) and it would be nice to have that incorporated in some way. One way might be to change the "Owned" tab to "Read" and then use tags or a hardcoded status selector to indicate ownership. Untill I know if this will be implemented or not I will probably use a tag like "dontown" or something, although it would be a bit contradictory.

I have considered having another tab called 'read' so you could list books you have read but do not own or want to buy. I think adding an additional status to the owned list would confuse things.

I would second this request as well as ask for it on the DVD tab as well. There are plenty of movies I've seen that I'd like to rate ala imdb but don't want to buy, etc. The same goes for books from library, etc as Malin noted. I don't think Music and Games would have the need but definitely DVD and Books.

I am also interested in this feature for books and dvds.

ditto here. i want to see how many books i've read but i don't want to brag that i own all of them (because i can't and i don't).
