Re Deleted pictures

Hello, first of all please excuse my bad english, I'm French.
Images I posted yesterday were deleted because supposedly they had already been posted. While this is not true. The notifications show that the photos are not the same. It's just the same person. Normal. I'm wondering why my photos were deleted ... Do you have an explanation? thank you

Moderators often delete event pictures as duplicates if we feel that too many pictures of one event have been posted. With candids and red carpet or event pictures, we often get multiple people posting tons of pictures of each occasion. But we consider it unnecessary, since many pictures are extremely similar in poses, because the photographers are taking pictures very quickly. So even if it's not the exact same picture, the moderator felt that too many pictures had already been posted and looked too similar, so trimmed some away. For events and candids, it's best to keep the following thing in mind when posting:
1. Post pictures with a variety of poses.
2. Post the highest quality versions.
3. Check to make sure that someone hasn't already done the above two things before you. If they have, it might not be necessary for you to join in.
Hope that made sense. Let me know if you have more questions. (:

Yes, I quite understand all that and I'm careful. But then, I posted a photo portrait and it is compared with a body shot. There is a difference. And then, there were only three pictures on the red carpet. In short, it is not important but I just wanted to know why. It is quite normal that fans posting all out photos of their idols. Listal will become a great image bank :).

And then pictures tastes are different. Some prefer one over another picture. Although the photo erted at the same location. We do not all have the same artistic tastes :)

Was the portrait cropped from the body shot?
Posting rules say: "No recoloring or crops of existing photos".

This is the same person being taken at the same event (Cannes Film Festival) ... The same clothes, so ...

It looks to me that the mods have been cleaning up. Listal simply doesn't need endless pictures of the same event. It starts with this and then continues downhill until we get 50 pictures of someone getting out of their car, going for some poxy frozen yoghurt, and then returning to their car. All very interesting to the average stalker, but for the rest of us...

They don't have to be exactly the same thing in order for us to call them duplicates. Sometimes we just use it to clear away some of the excess. Like Onion Jack said, we just don't need that many pictures of each event. So we will take some away if we feel there have been too many posted. LenX had already posted several pictures of the event. We didn't need more.
