17 years, 4 months ago at Dec 20 17:29 - About the search by rate, toprated etc, and in fact any other search that exist in the site, I believe would be great if there was a way to select what is the minimum of votes, users etc, to select even more the search.
For example, I click in toprated for books, and in the first place I can receive the item rated with 10 but with only 5 votes, and in the second place an item rated with 9 but with 200 votes, for me the item with 200 votes and rated 9 is more important than the item with only 5 votes and rated 10.
Another way to think of that would be to balance the rates with the votes, there is an statistical formula to do that, but it could be created something more custom if you like, and the users could choose to use one or another way to see their search results.
