When i rate movies, they don't add to watched list !

Whenever I rate movies they do not appear to watched list like it should. I mean, how is it possible... since i rate a movie means i saw that movie and it should automatically add to watched list like it did before this "new change" of the site.

How does this bother me ?
If I want to keep track of how many movies i've seen, or if i want to see the watched list and sort it however i want, i can't see all my movies since they're not there.

Yes I know you can check separately the "watched" button when you add a movie, but for those who have new accounts and have to add lots of movies they have to click each one of them (both rate and watched button), instead of rating more of them at the same time, when they see a list.
This used to be a very good shortcut before and saved us a lot of time.

Conclusion : whenever i rate a movie make the watched button press itself like before.

Please fix this, thank you.

Is the same for me with music (with movies I've not tried yet) .. how did you solve the problem?

I've encountered that same problem, too. I don't even remember which movie I've rated, but didn't add it to the watched list. When I look through the movies I've rated, it only shows the ones I've watched.

Confirmed.

BTW, the only way to see your past ratings is by checking "My Stuff" - "Updates", My Feed, but even there several movie ratings of mine seem to be missing.

If I try and filter my update history "by rating", then it only shows items "recently added" (to collection).

Summing it up, I think we need
1. please bring back the automatic "Watched" toggle when we rate a movie,
2. have a Recently Rated feed which includes all rated movies regardless of their Watched/Wanted status.

Same for music, TV and other categories.

O.P., I would also like to have a "Recently Rated" feed. I don't like to see a mix of items as now in the "recently added" feed.

Please also bring back the "Listened" feature in music

I have rated 533 movies :

And when I'm trying to see them it only shows the 1 movie i checked as "watched".

Please make as rated items to belong to watched list as well.

The collection status is messed up as well. When you click on either number of movies rated and watched, it shows a completely different number on the next page. As of right now, I rated 613 movies, but it says I've watched 612. When I click on the link to the former, it only counts 548. For the latter, it only counts 520.

I have fixed this problem as well as the already rated items with no list status so the counts should now be correct. I am away from home at the moment so was not able to fix this and other bugs as fast as I would like.

I also encountered what I call "ghost entry" problem which can be related to what Andrew wrote in his opening post.

A week ago I rated TV series "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" without first clicking it watched and that or some other bug seem to have left "ghost entry" which does not disappear. Remove button just removes normal entry marked watched, but not this ghost entry, which also appears as double on every list that I add this series to.

Also in Movies section, it shows 2 more movies more listed/rated than I actually can see rated, don't know if this is related to this same problem or something else.

Thanks so much Tom for solving this.

@Wendel
When I click on your 4347 watched movies it only shows me 4333 in the list.
I believe all problems will be solved at some point.
Wendel 11 years, 7 months ago at Sep 16 12:52 -
Andrew, that 4333 I think is just not updated. But actually numbers show 4347 watched, 4346 rated and lists only have 4345 movies, so there is "mystery" of 2 movies.
