Ranking Question

I am new to this site, just this week, and loving it. It is very addicting. I have run into something I am curious about. I was under the impression that your rank changed daily, based on the contributions you make compared to others. Just wondering, because my rank has been 7766 for 4 or 5 days (pretty much since I started) no matter what I do. Is anyone else having this go on or am I just misinformed?

You're right, the ranking is supposed to change daily, but sometimes it does takes a little longer, don't worry!

Old thread, but yeah, it usually takes a bit. If you search members based on points...

...you can see where you place before your number under your avatar changes. If you're lower than three hundred or something you're in for a lot of searching though.

Again, if you search users based on points you are actually ranked higher, just the number on your homepage hasn't changed. I found you here

My rank doesn't change very often anymore, but when I do go up a spot on the points list, it can take weeks for my profile to reflect the change. In the list I'm number 93 but not on here.

Don't worry about your rank so much though. It's the realationships you create and the content you share that matters. Some of the highest ranked users are only there from tagging items and not really interacting with fellow users. It's a community not a competition.
