Racing Games.

Can anyone recommend me any cheap Racing games that are fun to play with a friend? My friend recently finally got back into video games and we've been playing Crash Tag Team racing all weekend long.

I wanna get Mario Kart on Ebay in a few days, but are there any other games similar to Mario Kart/Crash Kart/Tag Team racing?

Yeah, Crash Tag Team Racing is what we played all weekend long. It's really awesome! I also found Crash Nitro Kart in my collection. I totally forgot about it. My friend and I tried to play it, but we're hooked on the clashing ability on Crash Tag Team Racing.

Kirby Air Ride sounds cool! My friend likes Kirby too. I shall check that out.

And, I think that advertizing is doing it's job, ie: Jak X looks pretty interesting, plus their other titles are good in the 3rd person genré

I have to admit I had to pop it in and play it, it's been awhile!

Let's see, for one player you've got Adventure and mini games, and you have Racing for one or two, and Dogfight for 2 players. So, a few options. There are a bunch of different tasks for each track, and you unlock chars and tracks as usual. I honestly think the game is kind of hard... maybe I just don't play it enough... :-)

It's got some cartoony cut scenes with all the chars backstories, I got a kick out of them, and I haven't even gotten that high a percentage of completion.

So try it out and let me know what you think!

Have you seen 'Crash Tag Team Racing'? It just came out. I got a copy for Gamecube, though I wish I coulda gotten it for PS2, but the only copy they had was for Nintendo.

It's really fun though. My friend and I played it last weekend and then we tried out Crash Nitro Kart and wow, the graphics are so much better on the new game! It's crazy.

So which shall it be?
Should I go for the PS2 version or the GC one?

Hm, ideally if one happens to be cheaper than the other.... that, and if I happen to have that money lying around.

They're both around the same price. $40 dollars, though @ Sam's Club I got mine for $36. I went half on it with my Mom, otherwise I like to buy new games cheaper on Ebay. I hate paying full price.

Either version should be fine. I only wished I had gotten mine for PS2 becuz all my Crash games are on that system, but I think I'll get another copy when the price goes down.
