Proposal for a new view for items

I kinda copy/pasted this proposal together for a new layout. I was thinking a mixture of "Images - List" view and "Images-Grid" view. Have only two movies per row, use full images from Grid view, and only show movie title, rating, and tags (get rid of director, # of times watched, and date added columns.

It would give the beauty of larger thumbs from grid view, but quick glance of some key info which grid view totally lacks.

What does everyone think of this layout option? Please voice your opinion with a 'yay' or 'nay'. :)

I don't know... you wouldn't be able to have very many items on a page.

well, its meant to be just another type of way to view. Some might like it, others might think it doesnt show too much. Its probably only best with 20 movies per page at the most.

I like the full list mode, but i find the thumbnails so small they're almost pointless (on a high res monitor), and I like grid view because of the large thumbs (especially the new bigger thumbs from the beta version) but wish I saw the movie's name, ratings, and my tags. So i'm just brainstorming a 'best of both worlds' type of list.

Maybe 3 can be fit on a row, and each row can be compressed too? that might make it a bit more useful on large lists.

I've already planned a view like this (it's actually on the Planned features list)

It will be like you say the grid view with ratings and tags (something like the recommendations page).
