Is there any chance of a quick way to set my profile to private so only members of Listal can view my lists etc? I don't like the fact you can bring up my account by googling my username, there's nothing incriminating there but it was a bit suprising to see.

There would be quite a few changes that need to be made for that to happen, not something that is planned for the near future to be honest.

What about an easier way to set everything to a different publicity setting? I can't be bothered to sit and change everything to semi private by hand, it'd take ages. I thought most sites had/were encouraged to provide proper privacy settings etc for people who don't want their content floating around the internet for anyone to see. As far as I was aware my content was viewed by Listal patrons and that was that...

It depends on the nature of the site, this site is about sharing entertainment based lists not so much personal information like a site like facebook.

For most of the content sharing sites I've seen the default is public, for example I just looked on youtube and there is no option to share videos just to youtube members, same with flickr for photos.

I can set all of your lists to semi public or private manually, although semi public may still appear in search engines.
