Posting "Cleaned" Images

I think I asked this before, but I can't locate the thread,...

Anyway, without creating any "duplicate" issues, I've noticed over time a lot of "classic" celebrity pics have become discolored from data degradation.

I've run a few pics through my images software (Irfanview),doing nothing more than running the "auto adjust color" feature, No re-sizing, no manipulation, no photoshoppping.

Can I post my cleaned image and mark the old image for deletion?

Please advise and thanks in advance.

We only want images in their original form. Adjusting the color in ANY way still counts as editing. So as often as you can, please try to post them without any changes.
