It whould be of great help.
Like before if we encountered with a list idea by seeing an item , we can easly select "add item" and create a new list there. But Now we have to go to list making section and have to make the list there and then come back to that item to add it to the list.
I think it's becoming a time consuming process.
Hope you will understand.

The option "Create new list" is still there, at the bottom of the add-item-to-list window.
After you click "Create new list", you are asked the new list name, then you can click Add.
It works for me. I've just added Pasta (food) to a newly created Test-List of mine. :)
