Play for the summer

Well admittedly I've been behind on my game playing due to school, but now that it's over I have to summer to work all the time and do a bit of catching up on my vgs. I finally went through RE 4 (GC version) which was great, and God of War, also great. I will most likely get Kingdom Hearts 2, but am not really sure what else to pick up. I'm a grad student, so the slightly older, used games are better for my price range. I could have picked up Dragon Quest 8 yesterday for $30, should I have? I do enjoy GoW, RE, Ratchet & Clank, KH, love FF (yay for XII) so I'm just looking for some summertime playing if anyone has any recommendations. Good RPGs or just run around and destroy stuff, maybe a fun (not too serious/realistic) driving game, I've got a PS2 and GC, and you can take a peek at my lists and favs, let me know what you guys think.
