Platform 'Pinball Table' for 'Games'?

Der Judge 15 years ago at Apr 20 13:03 -
Hi!

First of all thanks for this great site. It's quite different from what one has seen before ...and that is definetely a plus! ;-)

Now for my recommendation: how about introducing a platform 'Pinball Table', 'Pinball Machine' or similar in 'Games'?

Am pretty sure that would add greatly to the database. What do you think?

Have a nice day everyone!

I concur emphatically!

And while we're on the subject, how do you differentiate "Not Machine Specific", "No Operating System", and "No Platform Set"?

Can't they just go under arcade games? or are pinball tables considered a separate category. I will sort out those extra categories.

I'd argue in support of having them as a separate platform, as playing pinball definetely IS different from playing arcade games. And pinball tables are not comparable to 'joystick'n'buttons' arcade machines at all.

Or to put it another way round: they're definetely more distinct from arcade machines than [Link removed - login to see] from [Link removed - login to see]. ;-)

Maybe when listing arcade games, put the type of machine or platform in brackets next to the title?

i.e. Dolphin Blue [Atomiswave], Street Fighter II [CPS-2]

I've added a pinball machine platform.

Maybe when listing arcade games, put the type of machine or platform in brackets next to the title?

Would be better in the description unless there are arcade games with the same name on different machine types.
