I was just thinking Tom. Would it be possible to have default pictures for actors and actresses to be unique to each users tastes? I am making lists and thinking "that pic is appropriate for the list" and yet the pic that is the primary is completely different. Half the pics of women that people pick are atrocious too, I just changed about 3 because they made the woman look awful when in fact there were some extremely fit ones available.

What kinds of "tastes" and how would they be determined? A tagging system for the images with tags like: logos, headshot/full-body, sexy, easy-to-recognize, expression/no-expression, young/old, by-themselves/with-others? If the image was uploaded by or voted for by someone who you friended/followed or had a high Ratings Compatibility? The biggest problem is that you often get used to the default image once you've seen it a few times, and it would be annoying to
a) look into who an actor is and then see the former Primary image at position 346 in the image list and realize you would've remembered them if you'd seen that. Even with actors you're well familiar with, you come to rely on being able to recognize their thumbnail at a glance without having to read the names, and if you change it, even if its to a better one, it may not click in your head that they're in the movie you're researching.
b) have Primaries that you like taken away (and having to change them back) because of some statistical analysis that's often wrong.
Nevertheless, it might be worth having as an option that was off by default so that the Primary image would automatically change over time, particularly in the case where you don't like any of the images available for an actor. It could change to the one:
1. with the most votes. (Its great how the images underneath the primary on the actor's page are sorted by votes)
2. with the most views.
3. uploaded by someone you followed.
4. uploaded by the person with the highest rank.
5. of the largest size.

I think RB6K just means people selecting their own personal primary image for a person, not a computer selecting it for them. I think it would be a good idea.

My assumption was that each person already had their own personal Primary image for every actor/movie. As I see now that's not the case, I would say yes, that's a very good idea. There are photos I've set to Primary that I just personally like that are not the best representation or most clearly identifying of a movie/person. I didn't realize it would change things for everyone and now need to go change them back. Nor am I fond of the idea that once I take the time to do that, anyone can undo that at any time, whether deliberately or just out of ignorance. At least there should be some kind of note that says that changing the Primary image will change it for everyone or intermediate page that comes up that says "Setting this image as Primary means everyone will see this as the thumbnail for this movie/person. Do you wish to continue?" and then have a checkbox that says "Don't show this message again."
Once the each-person-has-their-own-Primary system is implemented, maybe there could be 3 buttons for an image: 'Vote,' 'Make Primary for me' and 'Vote to be Primary for everyone' to have a way of communicating that this is the most widely-used or readily identifiable poster and not a poor-quality image, fan-made poster, production photo/screenshot miscategorized as a poster, etc.
There should also be personal Primary settings for movie Title. Couldn't the alternate titles be imported from the IMDb AKAs with the rest of the data imported from there?

I agree and I've changed the wording to hopefully make it clearer.

Okay, now where is the "make default image" link?
In this (www.listal.com/person/rosie-huntington--whiteley) profile, the picture contained nudity and I reported it. Before if was deleted, someone made it default image, but now the image doesn't even exist on Listal and I don't see where I can change it.
NEVERMIND, I found it =D
