Picture Comments

There's been a trend lately, of posting comments on to pictures with links to either "better quality", "HD quality" or links to the one posting the comments' own picture. It's been frustrating me lately, due to the fact that people are telling others to "delete this picture"...this is understandable if the person (posting the "copied picture"), was blatantly doing this for votes. However, 99.999% of the time this isn't the case. Going through 500+ pictures bugs me, Idk about you, if someone posts a picture and it's already in between the thousands of pictures..don't harp on them. Who's got freakin time to look through every picture to make sure it's not a copy..c'mon people. So these "listal picture-posting dictators" are becoming frequent and annoying.
I myself have not posted duplicates, if I have then whatever it's quite rare...anyways this site is suppose to NOT be about getting votes..it's to be creative and have fun...some people need to grow up and not be the "fun police".
Just my thoughts on it..anyone else annoyed by this?

It happened to me, well you know, posted a taylor swift pic, OHHH WHOOPS she already has that pic up, well she has thousands a pics up on her page, im not searching, nobody is perfect, so yeah they need to GROW up and not get all fussy. Look at it this way, at least the one who posted the same picture has the same taste haha

From my understanding posting a comment that an image is a duplicate was a 'nicety' that developed and is something that is expected to happen. As no one does have time to sort through all the images when one *is* found... you should report this.
The fast and simple way is to post a comment under the 'duplicate' image and hope that the poster deletes the image.
It is then up to the person who posted the image to delete the item or not...
So... far I'm no seeing the 'dictator' part of the system.
Yes, there are some people who take things to seriously (myself included) and some people who... join three images together and post it as their 'very own new image' or various other 'cute' things to do only for points, popularity or... some other mysterious reason.
If you post something in "your images" then I think people should shut up and mind their business but if you post something in the PUBLIC area. Expect comments from the general public from the fawning to not so nice.
So, no... I'm not annoyed by members trying to make the site a little bit better by posting comments. Sure, sometimes someone could be a bit nicer about the whole thing... but again... public forum so most of the time you take what you can get.
I have yet to see someone actually remove an duplicate image and have only received messages about what an evil person I was for posting a larger version of an image and that I had no right because I had less points then the person who posted the original.
So, you see it really is all how you look at an issue. I'm on the other side. I think people should grow up and delete their duplicate image. It isn't a huge deal and the only possible reason to keep an image is because you do in fact just want the points and the votes from that image.

I just dont get why people make a big deal about a double picture, and then saying "oh my picture is better" i mean are we 5

i see your point Jaytoast. You're reasonable about it. I agree with most of what you say. I mean if you do see the pic and still post it..that's uber gay and lame..i'm with ya on that. Interesting points.

JAytoast whats your take on people making HUGE deal over dublicate pictures

@RJ4 - It would really depend on the situation but for the most part I think the celebrity image hyenas are crazy and should be treated as such.
Personally, I just report the image and move on with my life. Meh... leave the whole thing up to a 'higher power'. The report image function shows you all the information you need to know. Why people don't just report and move on... is a mystery.

Ah but people will find the strangest things to argue over.
(Note: Dylan4G... I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only 'non-heterosexual identified' person on Listal but if there is a contest for being Listal's Uber Gay I want that award!)
