Osama found...by the "Super Size Me" guy?

WTF?

Rumors are flying that filmmaker Morgan Spurlock of "Super Size Me" fame may have done what the United States government has failed to do for the last six years — find Osama bin Laden.

The speculation first began at the Berlin International Film Festival in February, where Spurlock showed a select group of potential buyers 15 minutes of footage from his new documentary, "Where in the World Is Osama bin Laden?" The film follows Spurlock through the Middle East in his search for the elusive leader of al-Qaida. According to Slashfilm.com, The Weinstein Co. quickly snapped up the picture after seeing the clips.

Adding to the belief, Daniel Marracino, the film's director of photography, is quoted in Variety, saying of the movie, "We've definitely got the Holy Grail."

Whether this is just a genius publicity ploy or if Spurlock actually found bin Laden has yet to be revealed, but the answer should come next year, when the documentary is slated to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

I'm gonna go with "publicity ploy." Without regard for whether or not Spurlock is a patriot, I doubt he would pass up the $25 million dollar reward offered by the US government for information leading to Osama's capture.

Well, the ploy has worked on me. I'm certainly pretty interested in seeing this film now.

i have my doubts too, but can you imagine the embarrassment if Morgan can travel and find Bin Laden, while the US of A with its spy satellites, thousands of CIA operatives, and an entire army, cannot do so?

Osama is just a pawn, a disposable piece, a 'tool' used by much more powerful men to attain what they want form this world.

That's the film I was trying to remember. One of most powerful and eye-opening documentaries I've ever seen. Bravo to BBC for having the kahunas to air it. :)

watch that documentary that Tom posted. The state WANTS you to hate and fear Osama. That's the plan. As long as you have a boogeyman to channel all your enegery towards, we won't rebel against the corrupt governments that are raping our land, stealing our money, and removing our personal freedoms.

Hitler knew how powerful fear was. He channel his people to hate and fear the jews and the communists. And after WW2, the US neo-con movement made the communists the 'evil do-ers', to keep everyone living in fear (and thus easily controlled). But now that communism is dead, there needs to be a new entity, and that is terrorism. I guarantee you that the people up in the US government do not want Osama caught, because then everyone would demand the armies to come home. no, they want this charade to go on forever. or at least have a new enemy to channel that 'terror' to --- Iran.
